The 182nd Junior Section meets every Wednesday at the church hall. Our Wednesday night consists of our opening parade followed by badge award work under the themes of Community, Interest, Physical activities and Christianity.
After our badge work we will have an all section activity such as a quiz, agilities, cooking, drawing or other craftwork. Our evenings finish with games then our dismiss parade. After that the ever popular tuck shop is open for business.
Each year we take part in the district competitions such as the Five Senses Competition, art, figure marching, Bible Knowledge and sports. During our session we encourage the boys to do a sponsored fund raiser such as a sponsored walk or silence.
We have also done community litter picks and jumble sales to raise money for company funds and good causes. In the run up to Christmas each year the boys are taken on an outing to a pantomime.
Our session runs usually from the end of August to early May when we have our parents night. (We break for Christmas and Easter).
Our session finishes with an annual outing in mid May which we try to vary each year. We cater for boys aged from primary 4 to primary 6.
ALL are welcome to come and join the fun.
